About us

The MegaCentre is wholly owned by a registered charity – Active Christian Trust (Reg. No. 1015452). The charity was set up in 1992 with the purpose of opening the Centre as a Youth and Community facility for the benefit of the community. From the outset, it was recognized that income would need to be generated to pay all the expenses and staffing of the building including especially our Family & Community Team. The Centre was first opened in April 1994 with the Megazone Laser Arena and the Youth Centre. Other facilities such as Soft Play, Sensory Room, Theatre, Music Practice Rooms, and Conference Rooms were added as finances permitted.

Although the Centre is owned by a Christian charity, it is open to all – it exists to help bring Joy, Hope and Life to the whole community.
